My Math Lab Student Registration Process

Setting up your IHCC
Internet Account
In order=
to use
any computers in the IHCC computer labs on campus, you will need to have an
IHCC internet account, called an IHCCNET account and an IHCC e-mail account,
called your METNET account. T=

Computer lab staff will assist you, if needed, in the open lab in the

set up your IHCC internet account, you can register in the My Math Lab software and then enroll for the instructor’s
online course where you will be able to use the math software. For assistance with the registrati=

2. To access you’re My Math Lab course, click on the c=
ourse
name on the far
left under Courses You Are Taking.

3. Course materials will be located in=
Coursework and be organized
according to the table of contents of your textbook.

4. If you are not working on a compute=
r-lab
computer, then you may need to
install appropriate plug-ins in order to view certain
things. You may have
already installed these with your CD-ROM, but if not, =
you
can click on the
Announcements
button in your course, and then click on the My Math Lab
Installation Wizard. Follow the
directions to install the plug-ins.
Be

to close and restart your browser
afterward.

The registration number is inside the card. Students can pre-register, self-re=
gister
via the Internet, or register the first time they use the service with a tu=
tor “talk”
through. They will need to pi=
ck a
password and user ID.
Accessing
a Tutor: Students can have questions answer=
ed via

To earn extra credit for your class you can ta= ke practice Chapter Tests online. These tests will help you review for exams. Keep in mind that there are other resources available on the My Math = Lab software to help review as well, like homework, sample problems, video lectures, study plans, etc.
To get extra credit you will need to go to the= Coursework folder of your online course. Inside you will find Chapter Tests that you can take. Each time you take the test, your score will be automatically put in= to the gradebook.= You will need to write down your questions, work and answers on a separate piece of paper to turn in for credit. This extra credit may be done at a= ny time and turned in at any time before the exam. Each review or test will be worth 2 points of extra credit if you earn 70% or more.
