Dave has been an instructor at Inver Hills
Community College since 1990. During his tenure at Inver, he has taught
Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice classes.

Dave
has been on faculty at Inver Hills Community College since 1990. During
his tenure at Inver, he has taught Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal
Justice classes. His current research and teaching interests include
sociology of religion, economic inequality, and popular culture. He
received his BA in Political Science and Sociology from the University
of Minnesota in 1985. Dave received his MA in Sociology from the
University of Minnesota in 1987. He has also done extensive graduate
work in theology, criminal justice and law.
In
addition to Inver Hills, Dave has taught at the University of Minnesota,
University of Washington-Seattle, Chippewa Valley Technical College-Eau
Claire, Minnesota State Correctional Facility at Stillwater, and Winona
State University.
Dave
is an active member of Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF).
Currently he is a Legislative Liaison for Education Minnesota. Dave has
also held other union offices including Grievance Representative and
membership coordinator. Dave has also served on numerous campus
committees including curriculum, shared governance, student activities,
and food service.
In
addition, Dave is a member of the Green Party of Minnesota and has run
as an endorsed state-wide candidate for that organization (State
Auditor, 2002 and 2006 where he garnered more votes than any other Green
candidate in those years).

Dave is an active member of the campus community. Among other things,
he has been in the cast of almost one dozen plays at Inver Hills and in
the community. Additionally, every year Dave leads a group of students
on an overseas trip. This coming year he is taking his students to
Japan. Dave is also a runner completing 12 marathons in the last 10
years. |
