There is no new essay assignment other than Assignment #3
(argument/persuasion), which I handed out on Oct. 1. If you were absent on Oct.
8, you should e-mail me with the following information about your Assignment #3:
What is your topic?
What is your position on the topic (thesis)?
What makes you credible to discuss this topic? Do you have first-hand
experience? Do you know someone with first-hand experience? Have you done
previous research?
The workshop for Assignment #3 is Oct. 15, so bring two copies of your workshop
drafts. The final draft of Assignment #1 is also due Oct. 15.
Don't forget to finish the reading: pp. 272-274, 294-310, 670-685
You need to bring TWO COPIES of your WORKSHOP DRAFTS of ASSIGNMENT #2 to class on Monday, October 1
IMPORTANT NOTE: Class is cancelled Monday, Sept. 24 for conferences. If you have not made an appointment to see me or if you have forgotten when your appointment is scheduled, please contact me as soon as possible.

There is no new reading assignment.
