Homework: Homework
(online or traditional text) must be done on time and according to these
homework guidelines:
1)
Label with section (if text homework include the pages and the problems
assigned).
2) Copy
the original problems with directions.
3)
Show all steps including scratch work.
4)
Check answers. For online
homework use the submit answer button and for other homework use the answer key
at the back of the text or at the end of problem sets in the printed course
notes.
5)
Mark errors, but do not erase them.
If you make a mistake, redo the problem correctly next to it or at the
end of the assignment.
6)
Get help from me during office hours (or via e-mail) or from the

A
student solutions manual came with the text for worked-out answers for all odd
numbered text exercises. There is also a
free tutor center code for toll-free telephone assistance. You may choose between the two homework
options:
1.
Do the textbook
homework shown on the homework handout.
2.
Do the online
homework on separate paper (or print the set first )
and show all work according to the homework guidelines. Then insert your answers into the
computer. If an answer is wrong, use the
options to view the solution to understand your error and mark this on your
paper. Select another problem of that
type and try again. Write your score on
your paper. You should get 85% or higher
on online homework. You may redo your
homework sets as many times as you need to get a score of 85% or higher. If you correct all of your mistakes, your
score should show up as 100%. Look in
the text to choose a few selected problems of the types that you need
additional practice on as needed.
For
full credit on the online quizzes, homework should be clipped together with the
corresponding quiz work prior to handing it in.
