Music Courses
Music 1104 (Beginning Class Piano) Intended for the beginning piano student to learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the keyboard. It is recommended, but not required, to take this course before Applied Piano. Music 1105 (IHCC Choir) Practice, study, and performance of Choral Music to be performed at a concert on campus. Open to any student who wishes to sing in an ensemble Activities vary from semester to semester depending upon the performance. Attendance is required at the Final performance (concert). This credit may be repeated as often as desired. Music 1107 (Class Voice) A study of basic vocal techniques of singing. Songs and other materials will be suited to student abilities. This course is intended for the beginning singer and students preparing for private lessons. It is open to anyone Music 2250 (Special Topics in Music-"On Broadway") A study of Broadway Musicals from 1880 to present day. Open to all students interested in expanding their knowledge of Broadway Musicals. The class will include viewing recorded and live performances of Broadway shows. Students will be expected to attend one show as a group. |
