Grading

The following quote summarizes my grading style:
"An A paper is one that makes me forget that I’m doing this for a living.  B’s give me some degree of pleasure, but I know I’m working.  C’s are all work.  D’s are agony.  I truly don’t give F’s, except for plagiarism.”

As I grade your assignments, I will be evaluating the level of effort and quality put into the work.  This is not a class where I test you about your master of a particular topic.  The activities I assign are designed to help you make career decisions and I will base my grading on your level of participating, effort and quality.  If you put careful thought into your assignments you should do well, but if you throw something together at the last minute you are not doing yourself any favors and your grade will reflect that.
