My interests are in cultural and political history,
ranging from war and its consequences for society, to the nature of
nationalism, and the cultural influences of religion and the arts.
The classes I teach at Inver Hills Community College address these
themes by emphasizing student engagement through reading, critical
writing, and service learning.
