9/2
  1. Today we will cover Word chapter 2 from the Office 07 book.
  2. In-Class assignment: upload "Wireless Communications" to the drop box labeled "In-Class Word 2".
  3. Take-Home assignment (Due 9/13):
    1. SAM Word Project 2.
  4. The due date for the DC 11 Chapter 1 quiz at D2L is postponed to 9/13.
8/31
  1. We will cover Chapter 1 from DC 11 book (Intro to Computers) and Word chapter 1 from the Office 07 book.
  2. In-Class assignment: upload "Horseback Ridding Lesson Flyer" to the drop box labeled "In-Class Word 1".
  3. Take-Home assignment (Due 9/8):
    1. Log in to SAM2007 to download the instruction file and the start file. When you are done with the assignment, you will upload the file to SAM. You will receive your grade shortly after your submission. If you are not satisfied with the scores you can resubmit the assignment. You have five attempts for the assignment.
    2. Read chapter 1 from the DC 11 book.
    3. Log in to CoursePort and do the following:
      bullet Take chapter 1 practice test
      bullet Work on the Student Edition Labs: Using Input Devices
    4. Log in to D2L and take DC11 Chapter 1 quiz. The quiz contains 20 multiple-choice questions with the first 10 from chapter 1 and second 10 from Using Input Devices.
8/26
  1. We will work on the following Student Edition labs:

    bulletManaging Files and Folders
  2. The take-home quiz on Operating Systems is (due 11:55pm, Monday, 9/6). Please log in to D2L to take the quiz. The quiz contains 20 multiple-choice questions (with first 10 question on "Using Windows" and the second 10 questions on "Managing Files and Folders").

    bullet Get your IHCC network account setup.
    bulletTake the "Getting Ready" quiz at D2L (due Monday, 8/30). The quiz contains 20 questions and is based on the Syllabus. You are given two attempts.
