USE of E-mail for Official Communications

Effective summer 2005, Inver Hills will be sending all official notifications and messages through students’ campus-issued e-mail accounts. Beat the rush by setting up your account now! Remember to check your campus e-mail account at least once a week. Please read the guidelines and policies regarding the usage of the email account here.

Step 1:       Make sure you know your IHCC student ID and pin number

Step 2:       Initialize your ccount                                                                                     

a.      Use a web browser and go to http://www.metnet.edu

b.      Click the e-mail link

c.      Follow the Initializing Accounts: Students link

d.     Read the policy information and click the “I Agree” button

e.      Complete the web form: enter your IHCC student number, choose Inver Hills Community College from the list of colleges, create a password, and submit the form

Step 3:       Log into your account and send yourself a message to test the account

Step 4:       Remember to login to http://www.metnet.edu and check your e-mail at least once per week
