  1. Today, we will go over Tutorial 4: Working with Charts and Graphics.
  2. Tutorial 4 quiz will be given as a take-home quiz and is due Monday, 9/28.
  3. In-Class assignment: upload the file (New Century Fund.xlsx) to D2L using the "In-Class 4" drop box.
  4. Take home assignment: Case problem 2 on page EX 209 is due Monday 9/28. Upload the file Tornado Sightings to D2L using the drop box labeled "Take-Home Tutorial 4 Case 2".
  5. The data file you need for this assignment are Tornado.xlsx and Clound.jpg. You can download the files by right clicking the links and choose "Save Target as", or you can download the them from the drop box at D2L.

  2. Today we will cover:
    • Managing Your Files (FM)
    • Getting Started with Microsoft Office 2007 (OFF)
  3. The assignment for today (Due 11:55pm, 8/31):
    • Purchase textbooks and/or software for the class.
    • Get your IHCC network account set up.
    • Log in to D2L to take the "FM-OFF Quiz". This quiz is based on the two introduction chapters (FM and OFF). The quiz contains 20 multiple choice questions and is timed at 20 minutes. The deadline to take the quiz is 11:55pm 8/31.
  4. To prepare for the next class:
    • Read Tutorial 1: Getting Started with Excel
