Projects: In your text book, the texts with background in tan color are the actual steps you need to carry out on your computer. You may be given data files for the tasks. When you reach the end of the required reading for the tutorial, you will have created or modified one or more HTML documents. These HTML documents need to be submitted to D2L to be graded.
Quizzes: For each tutorial, after reading the required text and working on the tutorial project, you will be given a quiz containing 20 to 50 multiple choice questions based on the tutorial. These quizzes will be available at D2L.
Final Exam: At the end of the semester, you will take a comprehensive final exam covering all material you have learned in the class. This final exam contains some fill-in-blank questions requiring that you write HTML codes.
Grading: Your final grade will be determined based on the total points you earn in three categories: quizzes, projects, and the final exam.

Student Responsibility
bulletKnow and adhere to the class policies, deadlines.
bulletSpend 4 to 5 hours per week studying and working on assignments for the class.
bulletComplete all assignments and tests.
bullet Check email regularly (at least twice a week).
Class Policies:
Missed Quiz

No make up quiz will be given unless an arrangement was made with the instructor PRIOR to the time of the quiz, or there is a verifiable emergency and that the student cannot contact the instructor in any way about the emergency in time.

Late Projects

The drop box for an assignment will be closed once its deadline is passed. Late assignments must be submitted within one week from the due date and will be penalized at 20%. Do not submit files to me via email. If you miss the due date for a project, you should submit your file to the late drop box. If you missed the cut off time for the late drop box, you score for the project is zero.

Incomplete:
To receive an "Incomplete", you must have completed at least 75% of the required work unless you have a "documented" medical condition. It is your responsibility to provide a written request for the "Incomplete".
Academic Dishonesty:
Each student must do all of their own work, including every single step of every single problem. Letting other people do your work and taking the credit as your own is a form of academic dishonesty.  An assignment, quiz, or exam will receive a score of zero if you cheat.  When I receive copied assignments submitted by different students, I will not distinguish the copied assignment from the original one.  All students involved will receive a score of zero.

Plagiarism and cheating are serious offenses and may be punished by failure in course, and or expulsion from the College. For more information refer to the "Academic Dishonesty" policy in the College Catalog.

Grade Book Keeping:
Your grades will be kept at Desire2Learn course site.  You can check your grades anytime during the semester. If you have disputes regarding the score of a specific item, you must talk to the instructor within two weeks from the time the score becomes available at Desire2Learn.
